Queen Charlotte Islands - BC
#1 Trophy Black Bear Hunt in North America |
The Queen Charlotte Islands
(QCI) are located just south of the SE Alaska region we have made famous for world class bears. The bears in the QCI are the same size, and even larger on the average due to a reduced harvest which results in older bears. QCI has not been effected by the non-resident unguided hunting pressures and illegal guides which have nearly ruined SE Alaska's once incredible black bear hunting. All of the QCI guide use area is run by one outfitter and there is very little resident hunting pressure. They will take fewer than 50-60 bears a year on the average out of a guide use area that in SE Alaska would yield
500+ bears. So we are hunting for very large, trophy black bears that average 7' squared and 20+ sized skulls. It is our opinion that the QCI is now the #1 black bear trophy hunting area in the world. We hunt along old logging roads and logging cuts where bears are found in the spring,
in estuaries and along remote beaches by boat, and we even hike into
remote streams for salmon bears during the fall. We do all of our hunts between Apr 28 and June 15 each spring
and then in September and October in the fall. We have both a five star base lodge and outpost camps in remote areas for the adventurous hunters. We also have a near perfect success rate and in some cases hunters have opted to shoot two bears on a single trip (call for details) the QCI are a wonderful place and we highly recommend to all of our clients that this is where trophy black bear hunters should go for their best shot at a B&C quality bruin.

British Columbia Interior Black Bear Hunts
Exceptional Color Phase - Spot and Stalk Hunting Area |
British Columbia Interior Bears
Where the coastal mountains meet the interior mountain ranges of central British Columbia we have found a black bear honey hole for the hunter who cannot afford the cost of a coastal black bear hunt. These bears are slightly bigger on the average than your usual interior bears and they have an exceptional 30% or better color phase that includes blonde, cinnamon, and brown as well as the common black color. These hunts are done by glassing along the edge of a drawn down lake in the grass flats and then later in the spring glassing wild onion patches in areas accessed by horseback. We are able to customize this hunt to fit the physical needs of almost any hunter. Everyone stays at the main lodge which is a beautiful facility and the guide staff is experienced and works hard for their clients. All packages are inclusive of one bear harvested, a second bear is available for a $1000 trophy fee. We run our spring hunts between April 20th and June 15th each year with no more than four to six hunters each week. Call early to reserve your dates.

Saskatchewan Trophy Black Bear Hunts
Baited Stand Locations - Big Color Phase Bears |

Saskatchewan Spring Bear Hunts
One of the most unknown black bear hunting areas is in northern Saskatchewan in the heavy bush country near Hudson Bay. Here hunters will not only see a lot of bears, but large color phase bears are taken by almost every hunter who holds out for the right trophy. These hunts are done over bait from treestands and ideal for the archery hunter looking for a P&Y class bruin. The baits are started and maintained well before hunters arrive and we hunt only the last two weeks of May and the first two weeks of June. We limit the number of hunters each season to no more than 16 and usually run 100% success with each hunter taking home one quality black bear trophy. Hunters stay in a remote hotel location and are taken to the baits each afternoon. Packages include lodging, guide, and outfitter services. However they do not include meals (local restaurants) and license fees ($250) which are paid for when you arrive. This is a fantastic black bear hunt in an area where bears up to 600 pounds have been taken in the past. Call early to book one of our limited black bear permits for this area.

Wyoming Spring Black Bear Hunts
In the region south of Yellowstone near the Teton Mountains is the most scenic spring black bear hunting area in the west. Our hunters all stay in nice cabins and hunt over bait sites sometimes accessed by horseback. This is not an easy to access black bear hunt and hunters should be in better than average shape and have a sense of adventure. There are a lot of bears here and a high percentage of them are color phase including cinnamon, blonde, and brown. Several bait sites are established and maintained well before hunters show up and started when there is still snow on the ground. The main guide is very enthusiastic about his bear hunting and does a great job of putting our clients on big bears. All packages include pre-baited sites, lodging, guide services, and trophy care. This is a hunt that favors rifle hunters more than archery consider this when looking at this hunt.
